Score a table tennis match

The table tennis scorer keeps the match honest: it tracks whose serve it is, handles deuce, closes out each 11-point game, and calls the match when it's decided. You just tap the side that won the rally.

Set up a match

1. Open the Table Tennis tab and start a match.
2. Pick a format — Singles (1 v 1) or Doubles (2 v 2). Doubles teams can be randomised or hand-picked, just like pool.
3. How long's the match? — one game, or best of 3, 5 or 7. Every game is played to 11 points, win by two.
4. Who serves first? — pick the side. The scorer handles every serve change from there.

Scoring a match

Tap a side's card whenever it wins a rally — that's the whole job. The scorer shows:

• SERVICE on the side due to serve. Serve swaps every two points, and every single point once it's deuce.
• Deuce — from 10–10 the banner reminds everyone it's win-by-two.
• Game — when a game is closed out you'll see the score and a Start next game button; ends (and the opening serve) swap between games.
• Undo — fat-fingered a point? Take it back, any number of times, even after a game or match is called.

When a side wins the majority of games you'll see the Game, set, match summary with every game score — tap Confirm & log match to put it on the board.

What gets recorded

Every logged match feeds the player profiles and the table tennis leaderboard: wins and losses, games won and lost, points won and conceded, split by singles and doubles. The per-game scores show up in match history, and the current table tennis #1 wears the Spin Doctor badge on the roster.
